Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Maria Pacca came to the United States in the late fifties with her family. In 1965 she returned to Brazil to unleash an engaging career in fashion design at Rhodia, one of Brazil's top fiber manufacturers. Through this position, Pacca traveled extensively throughout Brazil and the fashion capitals of Europe.

She returned to the United States in 1972 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from California State University in Long Beach while further pursuing her education at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles.

Maria Pacca has two children: Adriana, born in Guatemala in 1977 and Felipe, born in Brasilia, Brazil, in 1979.

During the 1980s, Maria Pacca founded and ran her own graphic design business, Pacca and Associates, based on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. There she studied watercolor with Chinese master Waihang Lai. In 1995 Pacca moved to Colorado, where she currently resides.

A vigorous artist, Maria Pacca has explored many mediums to express her creativity including sculpture, music, dance and painting. All of these disciplines have vastly enriched her career as a painter.
